Dalton, MN (WDAY TV) -- A last minute delay for the sentencing of a Dalton, Minnesota who pleaded guilty to killing his 68 year old mother with a machete.
James Howard's sentencing has been pushed back one month to September 17th. His lawyer requested the delay for personal and financial reasons and despite objections of the prosecutor, the judge granted it.
Howard admitted to attacking his mother, Barbara, with a machete in their home April 2011. She died two weeks later.
