Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) -- Moorhead police are looking for the owner of a pitbull that bit an officer.

This dog was found on the 800 block of 19th street North. The tan male pitbull with scars on his face and head bit the officer in the upper thigh.
The officer was treated at Sanford but it is not known if the dog has rabies. It had no registration or tags.
The dog is being held at the FM Animal hospital. If you own the dog or know the owner, contact Moorhead police.
