Fall Camp Tour: Fargo North Spartans

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Tonight our high school Football tour makes a stop at Fargo North.

The Spartans return a bunch of experience this season, thanks to a necessity to play sophomores and juniors a year ago.

Kelly Kalina's bunch struggled to a 3-6 mark last fall and ended up missing the playoffs. But this group feels that with several returning starters in place, they have as good of a shot as any team to contend for the EDC crown.

Kalina say, "the experience that a lot of those guys got last year is going to benefit us in terms of being able to make plays and read things a little bit better and obviously they have got a year of maturity on their belt too."

The Spartans open the season one week from Friday, at Minot High. Tomorrow we'll continue our tour visiting last year's Class 2-A runner-up Shanley.
