Fall Camp Tour: Moorhead Spuds

Moorhead, Minn. (WDAY TV) - Across the river in Moorhead, the new season began this afternoon with the first practice of the year.

Kevin Feeney starts year three with the Spuds ready to capitalize on last year's momentum that saw Moorhead sweep thru the section tournament and make state for the first time since 2003, and his team knows they'll be tested each week.

Aaron Lien, Moorhead Sr. Quarterback: “It's been great. He's done a lot for us over the past couple of years. I think that we'll keep carrying his tradition over from Fargo South.”

AJ Wheeler, Moorhead Sr. OLB: “He's a great guy and a great coach. Each year we keep improving. We go to the section finals, lose to Brainerd in a heartbreaker. The next year we come back, beat them twice that season and get into that state game. We got a taste of it and now we're ready to come back. He's a great part of this program.”
