125th Anniversary Parade in East Grand Forks

East Grand Forks, MN (WDAY TV) -- Today's celebration featured an anniversary parade. It was actually 2 parades in 1.

East Grand Forks, MN (WDAY TV) -- Today's celebration featured an anniversary parade. It was actually 2 parades in 1.

Hundreds of people -- young and old lined downtown Demers Avenue. Some people here, traveled across the country to commemorate the event.

The hour-long city parade was followed by an enormous 2-hour Shriner's parade. There were floats, fire trucks, and of course lots of candy. Leaving everyone with a different favorite part to the festivities.

Events continue all evening, with live music on the Boardwalk stage until 12:30. Fireworks start at 10:15.
