West Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A new season of football begins in North Dakota in two weeks and West Fargo can't wait. The Packers are coming off a rare missed postseason as they won just 3 games in 2011.

Jay Gibson is counting on just that for this upcoming year. he returns 16 starters from 2011, all who are ready to take that next step and put West Fargo back on top of the EDC standings.

Brody Metz, West Fargo Defensive End: “We're trying to work harder this year. We know last year ended pretty bad, so it makes us want to work harder this year, since it's our senior year. We're drawing a lot from last year's experience to make sure that doesn't happen again.”

Jay Gibson, West Fargo Head Coach: “We have a lot of experience. The practices are a little bit different. The first group, the potential starters, really know what's going on so you don't have to talk about every little thing. You can concentrate more on the juniors that haven't played.”

That's 3 stops out of 24 for us on our WDAY Fall Camp Tour. Over the weekend we'll head north and visit the Grand Forks schools, Red River and Central, before we head to Minnesota on Monday.
