Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- The beginning of school is just two weeks away, but area stores are scrambling to keep shelves stocked with notebooks, pens and paper.

Target has doubled its truckloads of school supplies for the past few weeks to help keep up with the quickly-selling items. Bins of notebooks, paper, and recent sale items like calculators empty almost as soon as they are re-filled.

The store has taken on fifty-five extra employees for the back-to-school selling season.

Courtney Flyberg, executive intern, says, "we have at least two team members designated to be back in this area to help our guests find what they're looking for, to make sure the shelves are stocked, so we're not out of anything that they might need for school."

The store is also open extra hours - 8 am until midnight - to keep up with the back-to-school frenzy.
