BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota law enforcement agencies are promising stepped-up efforts to stop drunken driving in the next month.

It's part of a national effort against drunken driving, called "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over." It starts Aug. 16 and lasts until Sept. 2.

North Dakota's Department of Transportation plans to host an event at Mandan's Dacotah Speedway on Friday.

The agency says it will feature games to illustrate how alcohol affects a driver's vision, and ways that someone can drink too much without realizing it.
