MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minneapolis police briefly evacuated a downtown building after a bomb threat at a bank, and a suspect is now in custody.

Police evacuated the Gaviidae Common Building on Nicollet Mall just after noon on Friday. Spokesman Sgt. Steve McCarty says a suspect entered the bank and said he had a bomb.

McCarty says no one was hurt in the incident. The evacuation order was quickly lifted after the suspect's arrest.

The building on Nicollet Mall between 6th and 7th avenues includes the bank as well as a number of retail establishments. Several nearby streets and Nicollet Mall for several blocks were briefly closed during the incident.
