North Dakota has first human case of West Nile virus this year

The North Dakota State Health Department says the man in his 50's from Dickey County had to be hospitalized after contracting West Nile Virus.
(WDAY TV) -- North Dakota has its first human case of West Nile virus this year and it's a serious one. The state health department says the man in his 50's from Dickey County had to be hospitalized.
The virus also turned up through blood donor screening in a half dozen people from Ransom, Cass, Barnes, Sargent and LaMoure counties, but none of those people had symptoms.
