Man responsible for 3 high speed car chases arrested in Grand Forks

Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- It's the end of the road for a Grand Forks man who led police on three separate high-speed car chases in the past five days.

Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- The end of the road for a Grand Forks man who led police on three separate high-speed car chases in the past five days.

Thirty-one year-old Juan Robles was caught after his car collided with a construction vehicle south of Grand Forks. Police used a taser on him before making the arrest.

His last chase, at 10 Tuesday morning, reached speeds of 100 miles an hour. It was last Friday when Robles first evaded police in Grand Forks. The second chase happened Sunday afternoon again Robles got away in a stolen car that was found in Fargo.

Sgt. Bill Macki - Grand Forks Police Department: "Out on these country roads I don't think we passed one vehicle during the pursuit, so it was a pretty much optimum conditions for us to continue to pursuing."

Robles suffered some non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Altru for evaluation. The Pontiac Grand Prix Robles was driving was not stolen and is believed to belong to a friend.
