FARGO, N.D. (WDAY TV) - Kids ages 5 to 14 put on gloves and grabbed some plastic bags to clean up the community today. The Boys and Girls Club spent the day picking up garbage at parks, bike paths and schools.

The community cleanup is in preparation for tomorrow's Night to Unite, a neighborhood street party. It's another way for these youth to get involved.

Robin Nelson - Executive Director: “The kids really like it, they like to get involved and they get very excited to make an impact on the community. Nobody would think you'd get that excited about cleaning up garbage but they're pretty excited to make an impact.”

About 300 kids participated in the clean-up.
