Grand Forks woman sentenced in fatal crash
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — A Grand Forks woman has been sentenced to four years in prison for causing the death of another woman while driving drunk.
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — A Grand Forks woman has been sentenced to four years in prison for causing the death of another woman while driving drunk.
Twenty-six-year-old Ebony Miles pleaded guilty in June to negligent homicide in the February death of 63-year-old Florence Umphrey of Inkster.
The Grand Forks Herald reports that Miles was sentenced Friday.
Police say Miles pulled in front of the vehicle Umphrey was riding in Feb. 8 and caused a crash that injured Umphrey and led to her death about a week later.
