Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- A well known Fargo doctor is taking the stage tonight to perform an Indian classical dance.

Anu Gaba has been practicing Bharatanatyam for six years now. A performance like this in front of more than 100 of her closest friends and family is like a graduation from the dance. An orchestra was flown in from India especially for this performance.

Gaba practiced the dance as a child in India, but stopped when she was a teenager to focus on academics.

Gaba says, "many people might do it in their 20s or late teens. I know people who have done it in their 30s and I'm in my 40s, so I'm proud of doing it at this time."

It typically takes students at least seven years to graduate.
