Sartell, MN (WDAY TV) -- A Minnesota paper mill heavily damaged by a Memorial Day explosion and fire will not reopen, leaving nearly 260 people without jobs.

Tennessee-based Verso Paper Corporation says it won't reopen the paper mill in Sartell because of the length of time it would take to rebuild and market challenges.

It also said the century old mill hasn't been competitive for many years. The Sartell city administrator says the city will concentrate on helping the displaced workers and their families...

Governor Mark Dayton is said to be working on helping to recruit a company to buy the mill or find an investor for the site.
