Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) -- A Moorhead man found guilty of trying to run over his family was sentenced to more than two years in prison, despite his claim he suffers from post traumatic stress disorder.
Hisham Ali made a tearful plea to the judge saying he has mental issues because of his civilian work in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The judge said while the statement had some impact, Ali needs rehabilitation he can't get locally.
The charge stemmed from a fight Ali had with his wife in March, after which he tried to run her and their four children over with his car.
