Minnesota struggling to stop the spread of zebra mussels

Minnesota (WDAY TV) -- There are some troubling numbers from the state of Minnesota. A new program aimed at stopping the spread of invasive species, is having a hard time keeping up.
More than 60 lakes are now infested with zebra mussels. The DNR says about 20% of the boats they check are in violation of laws used to prevent the spread. That means boat owners either failed to pull plugs, drained water or removed weeds.
