WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) — A meeting is slated Tuesday in Williston to discuss a study for a new airport site.

The Williston Herald reports that the city, state and Federal Aviation Administration officials will release results of a site selection study and an associated environmental assessment.

Williston's Sloulin Field International Airport is becoming one of the busiest in the state because of the oil activity. State Aeronautics Commission data show that in May, boardings there were up 47 percent over the previous year to an all-time record. The city is considering expanding the airport or building a new one.
