As fall approaches, Vikings open training camp

MANKATO, Minn. (WDAY TV) - A reminder today, Fall and the school year isn't that far off. The Vikings opened training camp in Mankato.

If some of the players dread the workouts, the fans don't.

Hundreds have waited a year to see their beloved team begin work, for what they hope is a Super Bowl year.

They come armed with their favorite jerseys, player cards and cameras, hoping for a moment with their favorite player.

Quarterback Christian Ponder has already won over a group of boys.
