FARGO, N.D. (WDAY TV) - Emergency haying and grazing has been approved in North Dakota. It can begin on CRP land on August 2nd after the primary nesting season ends.

Officials say haying and grazing won't be allowed on the same land. Many parts of the state are dealing with drought conditions and need the hay and grass for livestock.

North Dakota has about 1.6 million acres of CRP land available.
