Deer management training in Fargo

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Several area hunters are getting a crash course in bow-hunting technique and safety in preparation for Fargo's Deer Management season.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Several area hunters are getting a crash course in bow-hunting technique and safety in preparation for Fargo's Deer Management season.

Nearly two dozen men and women learned about location restrictions, bow-hunting safety and took both an accuracy and written test to obtain their permits. The Deer management program is in its 6th year in an effort to control Fargo's urban Deer Population.

Last year 21 deer were harvested, compared to just 9 the year before.
