Trail Co. (WDAY TV) -- The warm weather isn't good for crops, but it's great for one thing - weeds. The heat helps the weeds grow quickly.

Crop sprayers say while weeds need a lot of water to grow, they also need a lot of heat. Aerial applicators are landing to fill up again constantly, spraying round-up ready crops.

Mike Deck - Aerial Applicator: "Weeds will shut down and stop growing when it gets too hot, but conditions are favorable for disease and weed growth. "

Humidity is big too. Crop sprayers say with more humidity comes tougher weeds.
