Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- There is promising news for homebuilders and buyers in the F-M area.
The construction industry is off to its strongest start since 2007. That's according to building permit information from the Home Builders Association of Fargo-Moorhead.
Total construction value for the first six months of the year is more than $263 million. That's up almost $100 million from the same period in 2011.
Terry Becker, HBA of Fargo-Moorhead President, says, "After three years of flooding and a shaky national economy, it is refreshing to see the home building industry thriving again and crews are extra busy on jobsites."
Moorhead, Fargo and West Fargo each saw housing starts jump this year.
