Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- The makers of electronic voting machines that help people with disabilities fill out ballots are looking for input on how well those machines work.

People were able to try out the AutoMARK voting machine at Edgewood Village and Vista in Fargo this afternoon. The machine helps voters with vision, hearing, or motor skill problems fill out their ballots electronically.

The Interagency Program for Assistive Technology, or IPAT, is seeking voter input.

Mike Haringm IPAT Coordinator, says, "It allows folks to continue to participate in the culture of voting, essentially. The ability to be able to go back to their polling sites if they've been used to using the absentee ballot process. They can now return to an environment that they're familiar with."
