Mandan man accused of sexual contact with child

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A Mandan man accused of possessing child pornography now also faces an unrelated charge for allegedly having sexual contact with a child.

The Bismarck Tribune reports that 68-year-old Harold Fetzer has been charged with felony gross sexual imposition.

He was charged earlier this month with possessing prohibited materials after officers identified him as a possible participant in a peer-to-peer network that shared child pornography. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Aug. 14 in that case.

An affidavit says Fetzer told a Mandan police officer interviewing him about the child pornography case that he had inappropriately touched a child for the past five years, starting when the child was 5. The child confirmed it.

A message left at a telephone listing for Fetzer was not immediately returned.
