Fargo, N.D. (WDAY TV) - When you travel to the north side of Fargo these days and see the huge new indoor track facility at NDSU, one can't help but wonder when the renovation of the Bison Sports Arena will get underway.
NDSU is hoping within the month. Athletic Director Gene Taylor said earlier today that the school has set a deadline of August 15th to raise the final 2 million needed to start the project.
Back in May Taylor said NDSU had reached the 30 million dollar plateau. If they don't get the remaining money that means the project would be pushed back to next March or April rather than starting in September or October.
Taylor also added that no progress has been made on NDSU and UND renewing its football rivalry, we reported back in May that the two were hoping to play in 2015.
