London, England (WDAY TV) - A big honor for every British athlete who wins a gold medal at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The athlete will appear on a Royal Mail stamp within 24 hours of winning the medal. 500 post offices will be selling the stamps.
Gold medal stamps will be printed on a sheet of six First Class stamps, selling for about 3 and a half pounds or about five and a half dollars U.S. They are sure to become instant collectors items.
The 2012 Olympic games begin Friday in London.
