Fatal Plane crash near Brainerd

Brainerd, MN (WDAY TV) -- The F-A-A is looking into a plane crash near Brainerd that killed the pilot and injured a passenger.
It happened at Upper Whitefish Lake Sunday morning. The 2008 small, single engine plane crashed into the water.
It was submerged about 75 yards from shore. The pilot, a 55-year-old Crosslake man, died at the scene.
The passenger, a 61-year-old Crosslake man, was taken to a Crosby hospital with serious injuries. Names and the cause haven't been released.
