Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- NDSU opens fall camp two weeks from today, but the coaching staff is already preparing for 2013.

The Bison recruiting engine fired up today as the defending champs got their first two verbals.

The first verbal is 6'4, 215 pound linebacker Jarrod Tuszka from Warner, South Dakota. Tuszka is a versatile athlete he told me he plays 5 different positions for his high school team and loved the atmosphere on his trip to Fargo.

Tuszka says, "they're a football school, they have a great program a great football program and I liked how the community is behind them. It really helped with Colter Boyer being a small town kid seeing a lot of success with NDSU. Just building relationships with the team and I'd really like to be part of that."

Tuszka becomes the 4th player from South Dakota to join NDSU in the last 3 recruiting classes, Trevor Gebhart, Mike Hardie and Andy Smith a part of the 2012 class.

The 2nd recruit of the class comes from a very popular state for the Bison, Wisconsin in 6'5 defensive end Grant Morgan out of Oshkosh.

His head coach Chris Kujawa confirmed the decision to me earlier today. Morgan racked up 39 tackles last season, he had an FBS offer from Central

Michigan, Kujawa told me the over-riding factor for Morgan is that he has family that lives in North Dakota.

This year's Bison open fall camp on August 2nd.
