Children's Dental Services provides free check-ups in Moorhead

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - Low-income families in Moorhead had a free opportunity to bring their children to the dentist. Children's Dental Services provided dental check-ups at Probstfield Center for Education.

The exams are part of a program that meets the dental needs low-income children in the school district and eligible pregnant women in the community. Many families in the district face barriers like finances and transportation.

Lynne Kovash – Moorhead Superintendent: “It really brings the services to them, and they're not having to go out and find a dentist. It at least gets that initial screening, so then they can go out and have those services.”

Those with severe dental needs have the opportunity to schedule follow-up treatments.
