Lidgerwood man arrested in connection with Moorhead burglary, assault

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - A Lidgerwood man faces several charges after a Sunday morning burglary in Moorhead. At approximately 6:00 AM, officers from the Moorhead Police Department responded to 1311 19th Street South for a reported burglary and assault.

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - A Lidgerwood man faces several charges after a Sunday morning burglary in Moorhead. At approximately 6:00 AM, officers from the Moorhead Police Department responded to 1311 19th Street South for a reported burglary and assault.

According to police, three males and 2 females entered the unlocked residence and confronted a male resident reported to be an ex-boyfriend to one of the females present. Twenty-one year-old Logan James Kubasta, of Lidgerwood, allegedly kicked in the victim’s locked bedroom door and had a physical confrontation with the male victim.

Kubasta was located in Wahpeton Sunday afternoon and was taken into custody without incident by a Moorhead Investigator with the assistance of Richland County deputies. Kubasta is being held in the Richland County Jail pending charges through the Clay County Attorney’s Office.

Kubasta was arrested on Felony level charges of 1st Degree Burglary, 4th Degree Criminal Damage to Property, 5th Degree Physical Assault, as well as a misdemeanor trespassing charge.
