The Thief River Falls Area Food Shelf is temporarily closed because operating costs are too high. The board of directors decided to shut it down because of rising costs and less financial support.
It's working on a plan to relocate, add new management and open back up by fall. The bank will temporarily run out of the Methodist Church starting Tuesday.
