Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Top students from high schools across North Dakota are presenting their work as this year's Governor's School wraps up.

The program provides an opportunity for students to learn directly from North Dakota State University faculty. Today, students studying science presented the research they compiled during the six-week program.

Subjects included math, performing arts, and laboratory science.

Kristy Brandt, Davies High School student, says, "it's a pretty big deal, and some of us are doing a lot of really interesting research. There are a few of us who are doing cancer research, and a lot of organic chemistry research. So, it's some pretty hefty stuff and we all had to learn it in about six weeks."
