Bismarck, ND (WDAY TV) -- Governor Jack Dalrymple rolled out his affordable housing plan with stops in Bismarck and Fargo.
Dalrymple talked about growing housing needs across the state that have come with the benefits of a strong economy and population growth.
His plan would budget additional Flex PACE buydown funds, and direct the Bank of North Dakota to double the Housing Incentive Fund to 30 million dollars. The governor's plan also addresses planning needs in the western part of the state.
Dalrymple say, "all North Dakotans have the opportunity to create their own future at this point, thanks to the great economy that we do have going, and access to quality, affordable housing plays a role in that pursuit."
The housing plan would extend the Energy Impact Fund, which appropriated 135 million dollars to western North Dakota oil and gas counties last year.
