Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- It's almost unreal what the F-M RedHawks are doing right now, and how far they've come in such a short time. Take at look at this...
Just 26 days ago, on June 14th, the RedHawks were 9-and-17, 8 games under .500, and 9 and half games behind division leading Winnipeg. Since that day, the RedHawks have gone 20-and-4.
It started with a doubleheader sweep in Lincoln and isn't over yet. They have win streaks of 6 and 8 games in that stretch. They're scoring 6 and a half runs a game on average. and they've gained 8 and a half games in the standings. 26 days after their lowest point of the season, the Hawks are now 8 games above .500 and one game out of the division lead.
Carlo Cota, RedHawks 2nd baseman, says,"We're firing on all cylinders and we continue to do it. You know, you don't expect to do this for as long as we've been doing it, but we've been doing it and we're excited. Doug's excited, we're hoping the whole community's excited."
Todd Jennings, RedHawks catcher, says, "Keep the momentum going. We've come a long way in the last month. We're just gonna keep the thing going. I feel we have the best team in the league. Our team's right where we need to be right now."
The Hawks begin a 4 game home series tomorrow against the best team in the American Association, Grand Prairie. They're 22 games above .500. Sounds like a great matchup.
