Wahpeton is rolling on a great season

Wahpeton, ND (WDAY TV) -- We're getting into the dogs days of the legion baseball season around the area. And there aren't many teams having a season like Wahpeton.

Post 20 has a 30-and-2 record, a .399 team batting average and an team ERA barely over two. But Wahpeton also had a great record going into state last year, and then went 0-and-2, and that keeps them humble.

Chris Kappes, Wahpeton head coach, says, "the thing to remember is we have had a little success this season and last season but we don't have anything to show for it right now. So we want to continue to show up to the ball park and become a better baseball team."

Ryan Sheeley, pitcher/outfielder, says, "We still have to come to practice everyday, we got to work hard and we have to get those younger guys to know what it's like to win this many ball games. And I think they are taking it just fine."
