Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Voting has started in the House Committee on Agriculture for a new Farm Bill.

Pam Gulleson, the Democratic candidate for U.S. House, met with local farmers and ranchers this morning.

Many farmers say strong crop insurance, should be a top priority. Gulleson says she supports the Senate version of the bill, that passed last month.

Gulleson says, "it's taken a very responsible approach. It has 23 billion dollars in cuts that have been identified. I obviously want the House version to pass, but I hope that we're able to reduce the amount of cuts in that bill."
