Owner of Mellow Mood in Moorhead reaches deal with prosecutors

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) -- The Portland, Oregon owner of Moorhead smoke shop "mellow Mood" has reached a deal with prosecutors.

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) -- The Portland, Oregon owner of Moorhead smoke shop "mellow Mood" has reached a deal with prosecutors.

Andrew Leikas will be placed on unsupervised probation and pay 15-hundred dollars in restitution for selling a synthetic marijuana banned under state law.

Back in March, a jury failed to reach a verdict on two misdemeanors against Leikas and the judge declared a mistrial. With this agreement, there is no need for a new trial.

An undercover officer bought the banned chemical at Mellow Mood in July 2011.
