Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) -- Tonight you have a chance to step back in time to the days of early cinema.
They are tuning up the organ in Weld Hall at MSUM for the silent film festival. It starts tonight at 7:30.
Every Monday in July there will be a different silent film. These are scenes from The Boat with Buster Keaton that will air later this month.
Tom Brandau - MSUM Film Studies: "Modern film makers like to think that they've got it all over their predecessors. Well you know what they don't because just about every convention of cinema was invented during the silent era and they did it pretty well."
Tonight's movie is Sparrows with Mary Pickford. It costs 4 dollars to get in.
