Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) -- A motorcyclist was rushed to a Fargo hospital tonight after he ran into a stopped vehicle on I-94.
First responders say the victim was in and out consciousness. He was not wearing a helmet.
The crash happened just after 7, nine miles west of Moorhead in the westbound lane.
At that time officers say traffic was backed up and at a stand still because of construction on the Buffalo River Bridge, and the motorcyclist smashed into the last car in the bunch.
Deputy Mark Empting - Clay County Sheriff's Office: "With the heavy lake traffic at this time, especially on a Sunday evening you got a lot of west bound traffic you have to be really careful when you're not only in a construction zone but also approaching a construction zone."
Traffic was backed up for several miles then after the accident.
