Hannibal, MO (WDAY TV) -- Mark Twain's legacy is having quite an impact on Hannibal, Missouri--the author's home at one point in his life.

It's National Tom Sawyer Days -- a fierce competition-fueled event. One contest was ripped straight from the pages of Tom Sawyer... Fence painting.

Contestants were judged on their speed and fence coverage, plus authentic costumes.

Plus, children tested out their frogs training abilities -- to see who could get theirs to make the longest jump -- ranging from a few inches, to 8 feet.
