Duluth, MN (WDAY TV) -- A Minnesota zoo severely damaged by unprecedented rainfall and flooding will soon welcome back guests.

The Lake Superior Zoo is set to reopen on Friday. It's been closed for about three weeks.

The barnyard exhibit, where 11 animals were killed, plus the polar bear and harbor seals exhibits, got the brunt of the damage. The flood didn't touch the zoo's main building, primate center, and Australia exhibit.

The zoo's putting the final touches on clean-up, clearing paths and planting new vegetation.
