UPDATE: Fargo police continue investigation into suspicious house fire

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Fargo police continue to investigate a fire that officials called suspicious and unusual.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Fargo police continue to investigate a fire that officials called suspicious and unusual. The man they were looking for to ask about the fire, 41 year-old Kris Hallock, was notified by a third party that police were searching for him last night. He then called police.

The fire happened at 1546 North Broadway around 6:30 Wednesday morning. Firefighters found an ammunition box in the middle of a front room, with hot charcoal inside that started a small fire.

Lt. Joel Vettel – Fargo Police: “Really it was a the individual was lived close by so we were able to go visit with him rather quickly and really establish the information that we needed from him and at this point we're satisfied with the direction of the investigation.”

Firefighters estimate the damage to be about $5,000.
