Fire destroys rural Manvel home after lightning strike

Manvel, ND (WDAY TV) -- A lightning strike set a house near Manvel on fire this morning.

Manvel, ND (WDAY TV) -- A lightning strike set a house near Manvel on fire this morning.

Owner Ashley Champagne said the lightning struck about 9:45 on the west end of the single-floor house -- northwest of Grand Forks.

The house is a total loss.

No injuries were reported.
