Heat wave has cooling products flying off the shelves

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Those in the cooling business are watching product fly off the shelves.

At Home Depot in Fargo fans and AC units have been selling quickly. In fact, stores all over town report a short supply and even a sell out here and there of some cooling units.

Home Depot says most of the people coming in want anything that will give them some relief.

Allen Pagnac – Home Depot, Fargo: “A lot of people are looking for ac units first and foremost fans are a hot seller but we advise people to look at energy efficiency looking at leaks and filling them with sealant as well.”

Pagnac says some shoppers are going online and driving 2 hours away to Fargo in order to get an A C unit because they are in short supply around the region.
