Crime rate dropping in Fargo

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Fargo's crime rate has actually gone down over the last 2 years, despite the population continuing to grow.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Fargo's crime rate has actually gone down over the last 2 years, despite the population continuing to grow.

The recent report shows an 6% drop in overall offenses, and a 30% drop in vehicle thefts, from 125 to 87.

There was also a decrease in the number of arsons, burglaries, and shoplifters.

Its not all good news. Robberies did show a 21% increase, jumping from 39 to 47.
