(WDAY TV) -- It was an interesting day, to say the least, for Perham native Gabriele Anderson at the U-S Olympic Trials....and she didn't even run today.

This morning, Anderson learned she'd been disqualified from her 1500 meter semifinal last night, because of a bumping incident on the final lap. Anderson, in the bright yellow top, finished 2nd to advance to the finals. Anderson then appealed the decision, and learned this afternoon she was reinstated and cleared to run in Sunday's 15-hundred meter final. So an Olympic spot still a possibility for the 2-time cancer survivor. The 1500 meter final is tomorrow.

Today at the Trials in the pool...Moorhead's Luke Pechman finished 46th in the 50 freestyle with a time of 23:09. The top 16 advance to the semi's. 22.69 was the time for the 16th place swimmer.
