Horace, ND (WDAY TV) -- The small town of Horace has a chance to win a huge "sustainable energy" pay-day.

It's part of an S-C Johnson Green Choices Recycling Challenge. Each state has one city taking part.

Starting this July, through the end of the year, residents who sign up will document how much they recycle each week. They then get points, and those points earn them gift cards to restaurants and grocery stores.

The city who earns the most points, will get a 100-thousand dollar grant to be used on a green project.

Craig Hakanson, Horace Council Member, says, "help your city and help yourself by the city grant and you getting rewards."

Reps from S-C Johnson say they're trying to find what it'll take to get more people recycling and using sustainable energy.
