President Obama's Health Care Overhall is upheld 5-4

(WDAY TV) -- By a 5-4 vote, the Supreme Court has upheld most of President Obama's health care overhall, including the mandate that most Americans are required to buy health insurance.

(WDAY TV) -- By a 5-4 vote, the Supreme Court has upheld most of President Obama's health care overhall, including the mandate that most Americans are required to buy health insurance.

Among other things: If you are under 26, you can get health insurance from the plan your parents use.

If you're on Medicare, you can get free mammograms. You can still get health insurance, with a pre-existing condition. And, Insurance companies can't deny you coverage, even if you get sick.

Blue Cross Blue Shield is North Dakota's biggest health insurance provider.

President and C-E-O Paul Von Ebers says it means more North Dakota health care decision will be made in Washington. And there will be a cost to consumers.

Paul Von Ebers says, "the law includes a tax on health insureance which will raise the price of an individual policy by about 60-dollars a year. and will raise the pruice of a family policy by about 200-dollars a year."
