(WDAY TV) -- The rural Barnesville, Minnesota woman convicted of arson in connection with fires at her farm is headed to prison.

A judge has sentenced Tara Andvik to nearly 4-years at a women's prison in Shakopee, Minnesota.

Authorities say Andvik set at least four fires to buildings on her farm and blamed it on an ex-lover. At her sentencing, Andvik confessed that she has been addicted to prescription drugs and that led to poor decisions.

Steve Mottinger, Andvik's attorney, says, "i would like to think this is a start in the right direction, but I would hope this is a start for her and she can work on some of these issues."

Once out of prison, Andvik will serve nearly 20-years on probation.
